Content: With or without a quota? A lengthy debate on women quotas has resulted in a quota law for corporate boards, leading to more and more women being appointed to boards. To rebut arguments of a lack of qualified women, the HTMI developed and successfully conducted a training programme for (future) women board directors. After 2014 and 2015, the training will again be offered in 2016.

The training conveys profound theoretical and practice-oriented knowledge on the nature and activities of corporate boards. A special focus lies on strategic skills for women to succeed in appointment and decision-making processes. The programme is tailored to employer- or employee-elected (potential) female boards directors in the public and private sector. It offers six weekend trainings (Friday and Saturday) as well as coaching for developing customized strategies designed along personal goals.

Training Development and Evaluation was funded by the Berliner Programm zur Förderung der Chancengleichheit von Frauen in Forschung und Lehre until 2015.
